Consumer Borrowing Falls for First Time in Decade
07 Oct 2008 23:02:30The Federal Reserve said that borrowing fell at an annual rate of 3.7 percent in August as households, battered by rising layoffs and the decaying economy, cut back sharply on their use of credit.
