Metallica is No. 1 on the Billboard album chart for a second week in a row after its new record, “Death Magnetic” (Warner Brothers), sold 337,000 more copies, and Ne-Yo opened in second place with “Year of the Gentleman” (Def Jam), which sold 250,000. In a week crowded with new releases, Nelly’s “Brass Knuckles” (Universal Motown) opened at No. 3 with 84,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan; “Learn to Live” (Capitol Nashville), the new country album by Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish, sold 60,000 to bow at No. 5; DJ Khaled’s new “We Global” (Def Jam) is No. 7 with 49,000; and Buckcherry’s “Black Butterfly” (Atlantic) reached No. 8 in its first week with 47,000 sales. Kid Rock’s sleeper hit “Rock N Roll Jesus” (Atlantic) fell one spot to No. 4.
